When we were looking for homes, we saw one with Brazilian hardwood floor in the master bedroom and Kurt loved it. So when we bought our home Kurt went on the lookout for cheap wood. He found it at Home Depot and we tore out our carpet and put it in. We were over ambitious thinking it would only take a few hours. WRONG!! It took also 24 hours. It was putting together a puzzle, all the pieces were different lengths and widths. The widths had to be the same to be successful so we would have to try and then see, take it out and find another. We started after work one night and I had to go to bed by ten in Lexie's room and Kurt kept on going. I got up at 3 am to go to the bathroom and he was still going strong, though a little delirious. I convinced him to go to bed, but he was up again at 6 am working. What a hard worker! THe end result is beautiful. We also painted and put up Crown moulding later that month. Then we took a long break!
