Baby Alexis Robot is Born

Well... we have another mouth to feed!!! (just kidding) Today we had our second baby. Little Alexis Robot von Niederhausern came into the world almost picture perfect. Megan's water broke at 7:00 am, so we drove to the hospital and then she sat in the delivery room for 4 hours, then started the delivery... 1 hour later she came all bright and chipper. Megan swore that she was going to have to have a C-Section. She actually swore a lot of other words but I can't post those on the internet.

Any how we are all glad that its finally over. I am sure that Megan will write more on this post or later posts... but because she is always talking to family about the new baby, this will probably be the only post that I actually do. And yes her middle name is Robot... it is to remind Alexis that if she works hard enough she can be a robot. I figure that being a robot is much easier than dealing with the harsh realities of life, so I am doing her a great favor. AAAAnnnnnnyyyyy how!
Signing off,
Kurt

Lauren's Party

Thursday we had Lauren's party with friends. It was a fun day, we had lunch, then went out to the backyard and played in the pool and sprinklers. Then back in for cupcakes and presents. I invited the moms as well, so it was a fun day for the two of us.

Here is a picture of those who could make it. Lauren, Ayden, Ella, Tiffany and Jacob, and Jerilyn and Jeremy.
Lauren and Ella in the Pool and below Ayden with the sprinkler. It was impossible to get them all together for a picture. Too much to see and do.

Lauren's 3rd Birthday

Monday the 16th was Lauren's 3rd birthday! Kurt and I can't believe how fast time flies! She got a doctors kit, (just in time for mommy's hospital trip) roller skates, and a a little people park set. She was so excited. We had a birthday party scheduled, but I caught the flu and we had to reschedule. It was nice to have new toys because they kept her busy while I laid unconscious on the couch.

Tuesday I felt much better, so we continued Lauren's birthday and had her cake. Thursday is her party so she gets a whole week to celebrate this year instead of a day. We did a pool party theme. It was my first cake I decorated alone, so my sister was on speed dial the whole time! Not store quality but good enough! Here are some pictures of her blowing out the cake.

At first Lauren was nervous to blow out the hot fire, but Kurt talked her through it and then gave her lots of opportunities to blow out the candle. So I got lots of cute pictures of her blowing out the candle.

Our Garden

Since being married Kurt and I have tried to have a garden and failed miserably each year. So this year we were determined. So took a class given by the ward and followed the information step by step. Things are growing!!! It looks good, but we haven't eaten anything yet, so who knows it may kill us!:) I am posting these pictures so my dad can look at them and tell us when to harvest. Our potatoes are growing out of hand and shading everything else. They look a little like a drug plant in the pictures, but I PROMISE they are just potatoes.

Fathers Day

We had a fun father's day today. Kurt got a digital camera (more of a family gift) but since it is electronic I knew he would love it! So from now on we will have deluxe pictures!:) I also thought the daddy daughter picture was cute.

Funny Story - No Picture

So our subdivision had their annual garage sale, So Lauren, Kurt and I decided to see if we could find some treasures. Kurt gave Lauren some of the money from her piggy bank so she could buy her own toys. The first place she bought a toy, she gave the money to the guy, picked up the toy and then went back to the guy to get her money back. After a small tantrum we went to another sale and Kurt helped her buy a lion flashlight. From then on any sale she went to she would empty her pockets to the seller right when we got there. It was funny. It didn't matter if she bought anything or not, just here is my money. Plus she was putting her money in any basket she could find, so I was constantly following her and picking up her loose change. Must have looked like I was stealing stuff and stuffing it into my purse. What a day.

Summer fun

Summer is here! Yipee! I thought Lauren would enjoy the pool. It took me all morning to blow up since my lungs are half the size due to the baby. We filled it up in the morning with the hose and got in after lunch. I was thinking it would be warm by then, because it gets hot so fast in Colorado since the atmosphere is so thin. Anyway, it didn't and she barely spent anytime in there. Oh well. We left it out, maybe we can go for a soak after dinner. She did enjoy being out and about, just not in the water.:) I got to sit in the shade and read a magazine. It was great, one last minute to myself before the baby comes!

Finished Project

We finished the castle a while ago, but I never put up pictures of the finished project. It was nice, we had some extra carpet in the basement that Kurt cut to size and I got some cute wall stickers. There is an empty wall that I want to put up a mirror, or poster, something big. So I guess we are not completely finished, but good enough!
