Robots (our other baby)

March 27-29 2009

Kurt participated in the NASA first robotics competition for the second year in a row. This year he mentored two high school teams and was so busy! I think he will go back to one team next year. His rookie team won the award for highest placing rookie in the competition.

I think the mentors were prouder than the kids.

Here is a picture of the court.
The fans.
We made a weekend out of it. The girls and I got a hotel and had fun watching the robots and cheering for daddy.

Spring Snow?

March 27, 2009
This winter was so mild and just great! But we have received more snow in March then the whole winter. The kids got two days off of school right before spring break! Funny, huh?

Megan's Dad retirement Party

March 20, 2009At the end of March I flew home with Alexis to attend my Dad's retirement party. Kurt stayed with Heather and Lauren in Colorado and played Mom for the weekend. (He was happy to see me home again) It was so nice to be there. All my siblings traveled to be there and support my dad. It took me all day to get there. I missed my flight, and then was on stand by for two flights and then finally got the Salt Lake. My parents then bought me a flight to Twin Falls, because I wasn't going to make the party if I drove. I got to Twin at 6:30. I would have kissed the ground if I wasn't so late. We drove home, I showered and was at the party by 7:00! yikes! I cut it close.

Happy Birthday Heather!

March 4, 2009Heather turns 7! It was a fun day. It was late start day, so Heather went to school early to watch a movie with Friends, then after school we opened presents have french toast and had cake and ice cream with friends. She had a good day and it was fun to see how happy the presents made her.

She got arts and crafts supplies, new clothes and a bike.
Look at the vool cake Megan made!! It is a dog, just in case. Before I frosted it people kept guessing bunny. Which I could see.

The Girls

Feb 22, 2009
Sundays are the only day of the week that I can get all girls looking respectable. So I have to record the moment with pictures.
Heather is one week from turning 7. Don't you just love the color of her tights? I wish I could pull those off!:)
Lauren likes to take her own pictures. Pretty impressive, huh.

Lexie is almost 8 months in the picture and sitting up on her own! Yippee! She rarely stays sitting up because she wants to get everything! So she tips over and rolls wherever her heart desires!

Valentines Day

February 14, 2009We frosted cookies for valentines day with the neighbors. We were planning on sharing them with friends but we ate most of them so oh well. It's the thought that counts right?

Superbowl

February 1, 2009So for the last three years we have done a superbowl party. We aren't big football followers, but it's an excuse to get together with friends and eat!

Delayed

January 4, 2009
So our flight home was delay until 11pm. The girls were really great about it. Thank goodness for Portable DVD players. Yuck, traveling alone with kids is bad enough without putting delays on top of it.

My birthday

January 3, 2009So we are going to backtrack a little, I have been behind and want to catch up with my journaling. I was able to spend my birthday with my parents after Christmas. It was so fun and I got spoiled again just like when I was a child!:) The night before my birthday we celebrated with my parents and then I traveled to utah on my birthday. Each stop remembered my day and had cupcakes waiting. IT WAS GREAT!

On the night of my birthday, it was late and Lauren was so tired! While my mom was lighting the candles Lauren blew them out. She was so upset, she cried most of my party. Talk about a downer at the party. :) Who invited her anyway.
Heather, Juli, Alexis, and Lauren. And my birthday cake.

Recipes

So my sisters and I started a cooking blog with our favorite recipes and my weekly meal plans. It has really been fun. We don't have a ton of recipes on there yet, but I am excited anyway. So if you want check it out: icooks.blogspot.com
