Katelyn's First Birthday.

Yippee! My baby turned one! So getting on my blog, I didn't know how long it had been and how much more busy I really am with four. Sorry. I will back date a lot of other things we have done. Master Bath

We got some money from my parents for Christmas and we used it to redo the floor in our master bath. We used to have carpet in both our room and bathroom, but then last year Kurt replaced the bedroom floor with hardwood and we kept the carpet in the bathroom and now we replace that too! Kurt is so talented!! He can do anything. Here are some pictures of the bathroom getting done. We decided on tile.

Oops! Lauren was helping Kurt touch up and then he turned his back for a second... I blame me, because before I was going to paint I let her paint the walls I was going to cover.

Lauren's Leg

Hey All,
For those who haven't heard Lauren broke her leg last Thurs. A little before bed she was playing in the family room and was jumping off the couch. She was aiming to jump over the tv remote and instead landed right on it with her shin. It was a pretty bad break and so she is in a cast up to her thigh and can't put any weight on it for 3 weeks. The doctors will then Xray her again and if things are going well she will get a cast to her knee that hopefully she can walk on. If not she will be longer in the cast she has now. So because she can't put weight on it she is in a wheelchair. A cute mini one with a leg rest sticking straight out. It is like having a potty trained bossy infant.:) She isn't happy about the situation but after a week the pain is much less and she hasn't complained too much about being itchy. Tonight I washed her hair in the kitchen sink with her laying on the counter. Inventive right?? Things here have been hectic and crazy but I have lots of help from my friends and ward. I have to leave her home when I have appointments because I can't do a baby carrier, Lexie, and a wheelchair. SHe is still going to school and I have to be on call to take her to the bathroom. Supposedly a school nurse is supposed to call me about that, but hasn't. Anyway there is the long story.

So Lexie is really into Katelyn's changing table and put herself to bed on it and when I came in to check on her, she was so cute I had to take a picture.

Bubble Ball

We saw this toy at Costco and the girls really wanted it. So we saved up our money and bought it. So Fun!! But it popped right after our first use, so we traded it in for a red one, we hopefully we have more than one turn in it!

You can get an idea of the size of this ball. It takes forever to blow up and make small so we just keep it full up high in our garage.

Katelyn Blessing

When Katelyn was almost 3 months we were able to bless Katelyn. My parents came to participate and they left the next week for their mission. We were lucky to see them one last time! We also blessed her on Super Bowl Sunday. So we had a double party!

Chick Fil A Princess Party

We had a princess party at our local Chick Fil A. It was fun. All the workers dressed up like princess and Lauren had a blast. She kept bringing them over for me to meet them. She would say things like "I really like your movie" It was really cute. Here are a few pictures I got.

Alexis cut her hair!! I was gone for 2 minutes and I came back to this! I was so sad. I wanted to Kurt. Lauren said "Good job not yelling, Mom" I guess I yell more than I thought.

It was fun to go back in my archives and find Lexie talking and smiling too. All of my babies have very similar attitudes and behaviors when they are small and they are crazy hyper after they turn two. Funny how similar they are but different at the same time. I am hoping Kate keeps her dark hair.

Alexis the comedian

This morning Alexis was telling knock knock jokes and I was lucky to get it on camera. but I was dumb and recorded it sideways so now I don't know how to flip it. The knock knock jokes were funny because she kept telling real people for the "who's there" and then that was the end of the joke. So young and already walking in her hilarious parents footprints.

Megan's birthday

I celebrated my 29th birthday!! I feel much older than 29 with all 4 kids! It was a fun day. The weekend before Kurt took me out for steak and a movie and then on Monday I had some friends take me to lunch. One paid for my lunch and the other for the babysitter! What great friends. Kurt made me a Jello brand strawberry Cheesecake and I opened wrapped presents. I was pretty spoiled! It helps to have daughters who think about details that men forget.:)
