Colorado Springs

On Saturday we went to Colorado Springs. It was fun. We saw our Friends Matthew and Katie and then went to the manitoba springs cliff dwellings and through the town of Manitoba Springs. The town has natural springs throughout main street so we went around and drank the "healing" waters. Here are two pictures of the cliff dwellings. They are much smaller than the ones at Mesa Verde National Park in western Colorado, but about 7 hours closer, so it was our best bet. :)

Kurt, Lauren, and Lexie at the beginning of the Cliff Dwellings. Lexie's stroller is covered with Mosquito netting. She pretty much slept and ate the whole trip. I forgot how much longer everything takes with a baby. Our hour drive became a lot longer because we would have to pull over and nurse. Lexie is still cute so we were willing to accommodate her.:)

Alexis at four weeks

Alexis turned 4 weeks today!! Last week she had appointment at the doctor and she was 9 lbs 3 oz! She is gaining about a 1/2 lb a week and the doctor is really happy. It is funny even at 4 weeks she still isn't up to Lauren's birth weight of 9 lbs 15 oz. She is doing very well and we love having her!!

New Baby Pictures

I am trying to get a perfect picture of Alexis for her baby announcement and so far no dice. Oh well. We will try again. Here are some pictures of her. She is already 2.5 weeks, I can't believe it. She is awake a little more and it has been fun. She has also stretched out and is much longer. I have an appointment for a well baby check up on Monday so we will see how she is doing.

Grandma Stallings

Tomorrow my mom leaves after being here for 12 days. I don't know what to do without her! Since we didn't know if I was having a c-section or not she came for longer. It was so nice to have her. She is so helpful and we have been eating well. I love her so much and am grateful for all that she is. It is harder being far away but she is good to come and visit and is always willing to talk. Lauren and Alexis are lucky to have such a great grandma!

Alexis is 10 days old!

Here is a picture of Alexis right after her bath. She looks so happy to be clean. My mom did the honors of first bath and goes home tomorrow. AHhhhhh! I am quite nervous to be alone with two kids and no sleep.

Fourth of July

We had a quiet but fun fourth of July. My mom is still in town and bought our family a slip in slide. Kurt and Lauren had a blast! We stayed home, bbqed and just enjoyed the day. That night Kurt lit some fireworks and Lauren was a little scared so she watched from the front room window and was much more comfortable.

Here is a video of them sliding.

Happy Birthday Kurt!!

So today is Kurt's 31st birthday! Megan got home from the hospital yesterday so it was a low key birthday. We had a dinner with all of Kurt's favorite foods: Steak, Crab legs, Pineapple, and Corn on the Cob and strawberry chessecake. THANK GOODNESS my mom was here!!:) Then the boring guy just wanted cash for presents. So thats what he got.

Alexis Lynn von Niederhausern

So we had our baby girl on Sunday June 29th at 4:01 pm. She was 7.5 lbs and 18.5 inches long. Her name is Alexis Lynn von Niederhausern, so robot didn't fly with Megan.:) The delivery went well and we had a successful V-back. Megan cut sugar with this pregnancy and Alexis was 2.5 lbs LESS than Lauren and both were born at exactly 39 weeks. We are home and doing well. My mom is in town and we are eating well and being taken care of! Here are some more pictures.
