Christmas Eve - Night

On Christmas Eve, we tried something new. We had our big dinner that evening. It was fun, since I could take off on Christmas. Yes, it was wonderful and I am instigating this new tradition. We had the Ham dinner by candlelight and Lauren kept asking whose birthday it was. I tried to explain ambiance. I think she got it. After dinner we had a small program. We read the Christmas story and acted it out with Puppets. Then we played the present game. I read this idea in a Family Fun mag. and really liked the idea. The girls got gift bags and picked something in the house to give to the other person. When we were ready, we exchanged gifts. Whosever turn it was they said thank you for being handed a gift and then when they opened it they had to say one good thing about it. Like "Oh, blues my favorite color," or " That will be fun to play with" Anyway the girls had fun finding funny gifts and the highlight was Heather's banana she gave to Kurt. I think it helped the girls be more grateful on Christmas morning.

What a Cheeser
