Don't expect much text... its taken all the energy I have just to get the pictures on this blog.
Here is the Basement:
This is the sump-pit that I had to cap to try to reduce the amount of radon in our basement. Evidently, if you have too high of radon levels its like smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day. Frankly I think its a ploy to scare people into paying $900 for someone to cap your sump-pit for you. I did it for about $50 in parts.
Here is the 900 sq/ft crawl space: I have to figure out what to do with this waisted space. This was the one sad thing about the house. I have more crawl space then I have basement.
Here is the Living Room
Here is the Kitchen:
Here is the Family Room:
I made this book shelf with my bare hands... and then I messed up on it so I gave it to Megan... she painted it black and ignores my imperfections.
Here is Room for Alexis:
Here is the Room for Lauren:
I made this doll-house shelf as well. It was not that hard and I also made one for Heather and Alexis. It does cost $50 in bare materials, but considering they want $400 at Pottery Barn, I like my $50 doll-house.
Here is the Room for Heather:
Here is Kurt's Loft: (This is the last room to be finished thats why its a disaster zone)
And I made that book shelf with my bare hands... and a saw... and some screws... and stain and lacquer. I felt very "Happy" after I finished this book shelf... I am not sure if the unventilated basement full of lacquer had anything to do with it.
Here is the Master Suite:
Here is our Outside:
This is the garden that I transplanted from the old house to our new house. As you can see... it didn't quite make the transplant.
Here is a small man-made pond in our yard. I am not sure what strange creatures live in the pond, but I just keep hoping I will see Nessie (The Lockness Monster) poke his head out for a look at the new owners of this house.

Yay for the new house! I'm glad Shane could help with the move. I also love all your money saving info on furniture and doll houses Kurt!
Love the pictures, and the captions, thanks Kurt! I'm glad you guys found such a great house. I also loved all the stuff Kurt has built! You're the MAN! :-)
so Fun! Congrats you guys! Kurt you are quite the handy man! :)
Hi Kurt and Megan,
Congrats on the new house!! I hate that I am having to post this information on people's blogs but I don't know how else to get in touch with people. Bishop Ward passed away on Saturday, November 28. He went peacefully in his sleep. The funeral is tomorrow December 2 in Richmond at noon. I just wanted to let the two of you know.
Jessie
Great to see pictures of your house! It looks great!
And I'm so impressed by your bookcase building. I need to commission one of the dollhouse bookshelves from you. I'm sorry we still have your mega dresser beast - it is awesome though.
Keep up the good work, and keep telling Kiel about all your projects and maybe you'll rub off on him...
awesome house guys. it looks ginormous! all the rooms are so cute. and I personally think you could always use all the crawl space for a large time out room! they would never act up again!
Congrats on the house! Props to Kurt for all the handy work...looks great!!!
